What is Interior Designer Coaching?
Our interior designer coaching provides one to one and group support to help you on your journey to becoming an interior designer, or with your ongoing interior design business as you grow and develop.
Do I need coaching?
When I started my interior design business over 20 years ago, I was fresh to the world of business, and this was where I needed the most support. While I had my diploma and understanding of interior archicture & design – how could I manage my business, clients and administration that came with it? In my experience, Interior designers are, at heart, creative people. With this in mind, the paperwork can be the biggest pitfall, with attention to the legalities and paperwork feeling dauting or overwhelming as they build their practice, falling foul to legal requirements. This is where coaching can provide insights and ongoing support as you grow.
Can I have ongoing support?
Absolutely! I offer one to one coaching support for interior designers, as well as ongoing group coaching sessions which you can join regularly or as an ad hoc attendee.

I really have been there and done it as an interior architecture and design business owner for over 20 years, I know how it feels to be starting out, getting new clients, and continuing to grow, develop and manage your business. As a business owner there are so many things to manage outside of the projects you work on, and having someone by your side as your mentor and coach can help you with those questions about development, growth and where to “go next” as an interior designer. I also understand the legal requirements, communication essentials, and policies you must have in place when you run your interior design practice.

6 Month Group Coaching Programme
In this 6 month online group coaching programme, we will cover the main areas of managing an interior design practice.
From policies, managing miscommunication, marketing, and how to get business, this programme covers the key elements of running your interior design business with a monthly group coaching session online.
What we will cover in this programme:
- How to find clients + your niche – this session covers the importance of focusing on a niche, the essential marketing, networking and relationship building you need to find your first clients
- How to find the best suppliers – in this session we will cover how to negotiate supplier contracts, ongoing relationships, and find the best suppliers for your niche
- The legal must-haves – policies, insurances and terms & conditions you must have in place before your first client
- Managing your first clients – how to prevent miscommunication, getting the contract right, and client meeting must-haves
- How to manage a team – as you grow your practice or when working on a site as the project manager, this session will cover how to manage a team in the most effective manner
- What to look out for – the pitfalls, legal requirements, and necessities of a growing interior design practice, plus the next steps.
Group Coaching
Join other interior designers as you work together to grow your businesses in an online group coaching session held each month (with up to 5 fellow interior designers).
These sessions help you learn from your peers, grow your network, and have accountability as you build your business.
Ongoing Coaching
If you prefer a more regular approach to getting support as you develop and grow your interior design business, my coaching packages can be an excellent solution.
I provide these in 3, 6 and 12-month packages, with the opportunity to have a 60-minute session every month.
Mentoring Sessions for Interior Designers
If you are buzzing with questions and want someone with experience of being in business for over 20 years, then a mentoring session is perfect for you.
This can be a one-off session, or we can book a few sessions over several months, depending on your needs.
In this session you get a dedicated 90 minutes with me, held online, where we go through your ideas, queries, goals, and aspirations, to help you discover the best next steps.
